This one-handed warhammer is an orkmade weapon. One the head of the hammer, the basic knowledge of the Guhvuul (orkish meditation technique to control the gahad) is engraved. True Fire is weaved into the hammer in such a way that if used in melee combat, the words "Live WithoutRestraint" appear on the target if an excellent success is achieved on the attack test. The hammer in its original form (before the inscription and the Elemental Fire were embedded) was found by the Warrior Aluuk WithoutRestraint in the ruins of Parlainth, apparently used by an unlucky ork adventurer. The hammer helped fighting off some theran slavers, so Aluuk decided to name the trove and added later the described extensions. The wearer of the hammer paid a weaponsmith to incorporate elemental air into the hammer, such that the hammer returned to his hand, if he wanted to. A while later the characters met the ghost of the Troll Warrior Jung from the lands of Cathay. The wearer of the hammer decided to help the spirit find peace in his home lands. The group's nethermancer bound the spirit into the hammer and in exchange for their promise to bring the spirit to Cathay, the spirit promised to help the characters in any way he will be able to. Note: This hammer was actually found in one of our game session. Since the player really established a connection and a story with the hammer and also added some magical add-ons i decided to make it a thread item (Also they freed a village of slavers and the character used only this hammer to make a difference). |

Thread Rank TwoEffect: Against Slavers and their helpers, the Damage is increased. For 1 Strain the character may inflame the hammer for Thread Rank combat rounds. This ability works like the Elementalist Spell 'Flame Weapon'. The hammer deals 1d6 extra Fire damage. If this bonus die explodes, the hammer becomes very hot and deals 1 Fire damage to the character. |
Thread Rank ThreeKey Knowledge: The wearer must know the name of the weaponsmith who incorporated the elemental Air into the hammer.Effect: The hammer can now be used as a Throwing weapon. The range is 6/12. For 1 Strain the character can retrieve the hammer per command as a free action. The hammer returns with a velocity of 6 hexes per round. If the hammer needs to avoid obstacles, the character makes a Willpower Test against the difficulty the hammer needs to overcome, determined by the gamemaster. |
Thread Rank FourKey Knowledge: The spirit of a warrior from the time before the scourge was bound to the hammer. The character must know the name of the warrior.Effect: Once per day the character can call the warrior spirit Jung as a standard action. The spirit has the same characteristics as a Ally spirit with Strength Rating 5. The character may give the spirit only one task, when he is summoned from the hammer. The spirit may stay in the physical world for Thread Rank minutes. If the given task takes more time to accomplish, the spirit tries its best before returning to the hammer. If the spirit has taken more damage than his Unconscious Rating, he returns to the hammer and can only be summoned again, when he has recovered from all damage. If the spirit has reached its Death Rating, the spirit returns to the nether worlds. In this case a nethermancer has to summon and bind the spirit again into the hammer. |

Thread Rank SixKey Knowledge: The Hammer was infused with additional Elemental Fire by an Elementalist, the Character must know who did this.Effect: The character may use the flame against any enemy and the additional True Fire increased the damage of the Fire to a d8. Additionally, the character is now better protected from Fire Damage. If attacked by attacks, with the keyword FIRE or he needs to endure extreme heat, his physical Armor is increased by 2. |
